Overview
The SAT is a standardized test widely used for undergraduate admissions in the US and Canada. Administered by College Board, the SAT tests reading, writing, and math skills. Many international universities also accept SAT scores. The test was redesigned as a digital adaptive test starting 2024.
Exam Pattern:
Digital format: Reading & Writing (54 questions, 64 min), Math (44 questions, 70 min). Total: 2 hours 14 minutes. Score range: 400-1600. Adaptive testing — difficulty adjusts based on performance in first module. No penalty for wrong answers.
Eligibility Criteria
No formal eligibility. Typically taken by students in Class 11 or 12. Valid passport required for international students. Can be taken multiple times — best score considered. Available worldwide at designated test centers.
